Original Release And This Software Fake Beer Prank

Beer Simulator is a glass of beer that behaves like one.

Tilt your phone and the beer leans with it. Tilt it far enough and it goes over the lip, runs down the side and spills onto the floor. Hold a finger anywhere on the screen and the glass empties the way a drink actually goes down, with the head sliding after it.

None of this is an animation on a loop. The surface is a row of springs that pull on each other, so a wave travels across the beer and bounces back off the far wall. What leaves the glass leaves at the speed a real head of liquid would push it out, then falls as drops under gravity and breaks up on its own on the way. Turn the phone and gravity turns with it, so it stays honest at any angle.

CHOOSE YOUR GLASS

Pint. Straight sided and honest.

Tumbler. Short and wide, so it goes over almost at once.

Weizen. Tall and narrow. Holds on far longer than you expect.

Stein. Straight walls and a handle. Slower to tip than it looks.

The shape is not decoration. The width of the mouth is what decides how far you can lean before the beer reaches the rim, so the glass you pick really does change how it behaves in your hand.

CHOOSE WHAT IS IN IT

Lager, cold and gold. IPA, hazy and far too hoppy. Stout, basically a meal. Cider, apples allegedly.

THE TAB

Every glass you finish gets counted. The tab keeps your total, how many you have got through today, your quickest one and whichever drink you keep coming back to. Clear it whenever you want a fresh start.

FULL SCREEN

One tap hides everything except the glass, for when you want to hand the phone to somebody without a row of buttons in the way. Press back and the controls come home.

THE SMALL PRINT

It works offline. There is no account, nothing to sign in to and nothing to unlock. It does not do a single useful thing, and that is rather the point.
A pint on your screen. Tilt to sip, pick your beer and glass. No real drink.
